About us
We line up two YouTube Shorts on the same song—you watch both, pick the take that wins you over, and tally votes in the open.
The story
Trending dance shorts often collide on identical tracks. People argue in replies about who hit it cleaner, but the algorithm rarely places those takes next to each other. dancevsdance started as an experiment spun out of the Korean entertainment creators around Enter Today (엔터오늘): what if comparing two dances to the same canonical song link felt as deliberate as pressing “Start” on both players?
So we stitch together battles from what you paste: each short points at the YouTube Short, and together with the original song link we build a stable “same track” grouping. Playback stays inside official YouTube embeds—nothing is mirrored or ripped from creators—votes are expressive tallies rather than payouts or rankings etched in stone.
What we’re optimizing for
- Fair, fun juxtaposition instead of fragmented comment-section debates scattered across timelines.
- Lightweight infra: URLs + metadata, encrypted auth only where needed, and realtime tallies instead of heavyweight media hosting.
- Room to grow—from channel scans to leaderboard energy—without losing transparency about how battles are paired (same pasted song identity).
